Open Submissions for Independent Film Initiative

The Independent Film Initiative (IFI) is designed by the Chicago Film Office - Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events to obtain and retain talented professionals, promote their work, and enhance the careers of participants building a stronger film industry for all in the city. Producing local features, web series, documentaries, and short films is the goal.
Applications for the two programs in place are currently open for submissions. The IFI Filmmaker in Residence program and the Independent Producers Apprenticeship are available.
